Celebrating 6 Months Of The Cybersecurity Solopreneur — Has it been worth it ?
2024 has been a crazy ride !
I started my second Substack newsletter over six months ago and wanted to share a quick update on how the journey has been going
The whole point of this newsletter was to help Cybersecurity professionals earn more money outside their jobs
It came about after more than a thousand people downloaded my free Ebook on monetizing their Cybersecurity knowledge
Six months later this newsletter also has more than a thousand subs and a few paying members which is awesome
The response to this newsletter has told me one thing clearly .. the corporate Cybersecurity world has becoming less fulfilling and more people are craving control over their work and income.

1. The Crazy Economy
Layoffs have not let up unfortunately even at the tail-end of 2024
Inflation is continuing to eat away at wallets and relying solely on a full-time job — even a well-paying one — feels like a single point of failure.
The contentment Cybersecurity professionals used to associate with employment has faded a bit ( more on that below )
Solopreneurship is all about taking control and ensuring you’re never caught off guard.
