We are reaching the end of our Cloud Security tooling series with us slowly running out of cloud abbreviations to cover and today’s topic is Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms or CNAPP.

This term was coined by Gartner which generated a lot of hype in cloud security circles and the entire point of CNAPP is to consolidate all the different cloud security tools under one umbrella.

We have covered CSPM, CASB, CIEM and CWPP already and they already seem like too many solutions to manage. The whole point of CNAPP is to bring them all under one solution making it easier for cloud security users to manage and secure their environment.

Consolidation of Security tooling is one of the most critical needs in cloud environment
