Cybersecurity is a tough job but can also be very glamorous with cyberattacks and data breaches now on everyone’s minds
It is great to see so much awareness now and boards becoming more and more tech / cyber savvy
Movies and TV shows have also embraced cybersecurity with shows like “Mr. Robot” really showing actual techniques of social engineering although in a hyper realistic way
At the same, movies still make a lot of mistakes in their portrayal of cyberattacks that make actual professionals cringe awkwardly
I have covered the ones that made me cringe the most in my two decades of cybersecurity
