It is honestly one of the best ways to establish your authority in the industry
Not to mention you can make actual $$$ if you plan it properly and have a strategy in place
Self-publishing books is a long game but it can pay off massively
But what about AI ?? I hear you say ..
I honestly do not believe AI will replace writers but actually help them
I recall everyone was predicting the death of the self-publishing industry when ChatGPT and other AI tools came around
But people now seem to be sick of AI generated content especially when it comes to blogging / writes
My own book sales have not been impacted that much since the GenAI craze took over
AI is great for generating ideas and outlines but it simply cannot write an engaging book ( at least not yet ! )
That means self-publishing still remains a viable side hustle even in 2024
