UK Global Talent Visa update for May 2023

What is going on with the UK global talent visa and Tech Nation?

Layoffs and more layoffs everywhere .. it is a bad time for tech and other job industries in 2023

Along with the mental and financial stress that layoffs bring .. if you are an immigrant like me then another major problem becomes losing your right to live in the country you have called home for many years

This is a reason why I have been a big fan of the UK Global Talent Visa program for many years due to the advantages it brings.

In a nutshell:

• The visa is attached to you ( no job offer needed )
• No sponsorship needed from an employer
• No age or language requirements
• Can switch jobs easily
• Apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain after 3 years ( under exceptional talent )
